Getting Drunk With The Locals

The following day I met a french guy called Robin and went with him and Caro to a near-by beach called Las Cabanas. This was the only time I was really happy that it was the rainy season as we had a beach that stretched on for about a mile just for ourselves. After enjoying a beer while sitting in one of the huts with a beautiful view on the sea and islands we met the owner of the resort and some of his workers and spend the evening talking about drugs and drinking one of the local drinks. The drink, Ginebra, is made out of sugarcane and intoxicates you very very very fast. After drunkenly finding our way back to the road on a muddy and slippery path in the dark we managed to get hold of a tuctuc after some hassle and got back to El Nido.
Two days later I had managed to finally get on a proper Islands hopping tour with the tour company of my friend Arman. The fisherman who had taken Silvia, Eduardo and me out for the treasure hunt. This time we got to explore underwater caves and some beautiful waterways that were located in-between islands and rock formations. This was also the moment when I had the chance to dive a little bit deeper than before and to my surprise as I went deeper the water got warmer, it goes up to 32°C Arman told me afterwards. Basically I was able to swim at bath temperature and I recommend it to anyone who gets the chance. We also got to eat some pretty colourful fish which had been harpooned just minutes earlier.
