Following the short flight from London to Hannover I continued the little section of my travel with my parents. Together we went to a spiritual festival called 'Celebrate Life'. Which happens to be held by Thomas Huebl, a spiritual teacher that was acting as an alternative pastor during my parents wedding. We arrive on one of those days where the combination of the fresh wind and warm air is just perfect. I set up my tent in a spot that would be in the shadow of a big weeping willow during the hot hours of the day. Behind the weeping willow there was a lake which one could surround using little paths. These paths had the lake on one side and were completely packed with tents on the other. As I walk down these paths - away from my tent - a vibrant buzzing and energetic feel was flowing through the air. I reach the dining hall which had just opened for lunch and was packed with people, I had never been to this festival before and hence didn't know an immense amount of people, or so I thought. To my surprise I meet 5 people just while getting my food that have known me since I was a little scallywag. As I wander out of the dining hall I stumble upon Laura, a good friend of my brothers. "Oh how nice to see you again Noah, we're just sitting over there. Come and join the group, there are so many people you have to meet." She says lively and heads over to a makeshift table which was surrounded by about 30 young people shoveling food into their hungry mouths. I sit down among them to say hello to the few people that I know and introduce myself to the ones I don't. "Well you've come just on the right day, tonight there's going to be a dance partaaay." Luna shouts out loudly and exclaims the last few words at a volume audible to the hundreds of people that were sitting in the surrounding 50m. Everyone turns their heads towards our group of 'youngsters' and Luna begins to giggle, it develops into a full on laughter, which again gently pierced into the ears of the surrounding groups. Following the lunch we head to the youth tent, which had been lovingly prepared with couches, pillows, a hammock and loads of paints & papers. Deep house music is playing and the subtle bass vibrates through the wooden planks that make up the floor of the tent. There is a candle surrounded by some flowers standing in the centre of the room. The whole group surrounds the candle which is now lit and Luna starts telling us the programme for the day. Note: Since this is a spiritual festival during which many people go through intense processes of change I won't continue writing further, though I can tell you that we had an awesome dance partaay in the evening.
