Hong Kong

After a lovely, hard working 3 weeks in Manila, Hong Kong was going to be my retreat.
I was staying with a friend who had gone to the same school as I had in Scotland and moved to Hong Kong a year ago. What I can certainly say is that this Hong Kong experience was certainly not what I had expected. You hear the name 'Hong Kong' and the tall skyscrapers of this metropolis is what comes to mind. In addition to 7.2m people bustling about in such a confined space.
Now as it happened my friend, Kai was actually not staying within the city itself but rather on a tropical island called Lamma Island. The third largest of the islands surrounding Hong Kong. This was far away from the crowded streets and all the fumes, which I had experienced enough of in Manila. Basically it was was exactly what I needed, a little bit of space for myself after being in such close contact with so many people without a break.
